Safe Grading and Rating
Before you buy a safe, it’s a good idea to familiarise yourself with the grading system that shows a safe’s ability to withstand attack.
Most safes are now designed, manufactured and tested to the Pan European test rating EN1143-1.
This standard comes in grades. 0 to 7 with the grade 7 being the highest and the grade 0 being the lowest level.
Each grade has a cash and jewellery rating as shown below and as you go up the grades safes tend to get larger.
